We have not one but TWO releases for you this week.

Note: we’re still using our Kevin Bacon theme for our “legacy” (classic MerchantOS interface) updates, and our new “Colors” theme is for the new LightSpeed Cloud products. We will change over to the Colors theme for good when we switch all users over the new UI – which won’t happen for a few months.

For our legacy release, “Beyond All Boundaries” we addressed some backend API issues. And the changes in our “Periwinkle” release will affect LightSpeed Cloud for iPad.

“Beyond All Boundaries” – LightSpeed Cloud

  • Baffled API users will no longer get a 500 error when running queries out of range, they’ll get an appropriate “0 Results Found” response.
  • The Bike Coop integration can now have a specific start date when sending customer data.
  • Opening Customer Accounts from System wont automatically use the same password for all accounts. This effectively plugs up any security holes we can foresee. Hooray for product security!

“Periwinkle” – LightSpeed Cloud for iPad version 1.0.1

  • ID Tech Shuttle support for the Element payment gateway. Our iPad app users have yet another method to take credit card payments from customers.
  • Password reset email no longer says “MerchantOS”
  • No more dead ends. Users who tried to print mailing labels from the app would get stuck and have to force quit out of the app. Now they won’t see Mailing Labels as an option.

Beyond All Boundaries (2009)

A visual, 4-D experience of the battles of World War II featuring stories, archival footage and advanced special effects.

Periwinkle

Periwinkle is a color in the blue and purple family. Its name is derived from the lesser periwinkle or myrtle herb (Vinca minor) which bears flowers of the same color. This color is also similar to the mint color. The color periwinkle is also called lavender blue. The color periwinkle may be considered a pale tint of blue or a pastel blue”.The first recorded use of periwinkle as a color name in English was in 1895.
