What’s new in Lightspeed Retail’s app version 2.12?

After months of hard work and long hours, we are happy to finally reveal our app’s new summer body! Along with these user interface improvements, we’ve delved beyond the superficial to bring you new features and bug fixes you can profoundly benefit from:

New features

  • The Sales History screen can now be filtered by shop.
  • As an iPad user, you can now select which payment types will automatically open your cash drawer after finishing a sale. The 3 available settings can be configured from Retail Manager > Settings > General Options:
    • All Payment Types
    • Cash Only
    • Never

UI improvements

  • Redesigned the user interface for sales workflows involving:
    • viewing the gift card options menu.
    • viewing the sale options menu.
    • scanning gift cards.
    • applying discounts.
    • applying employees.
    • setting taxes.
    • cancelling sales.

Bug Fixes

  • Discount and Tax Class fields are now displayed correctly when editing a line item.
  • Improved stability when printing receipts from the Sales History screen.
  • Improved consistency when scanning jewelry labels that are printed via the app.
  • Saving a new customer multiple times will now only create one new customer account.
