Lightspeed Retail
Goodbye, April. Hello, May! Similarly at Lightspeed, we are saying farewell to some pain points and are greeting the new month with exciting features and UI changes:
New Feature
- Purchase orders: It’s important for retailers to see the cost of all ordered items in comparison to the cost of all checked-in items. With this need in mind, purchase orders are now designed to include their Ordered Total and Received Total as key fields in their Cost sections (click here for more information). CLD-10862
UI Changes
- Item History: When in an item’s History section, there are two tables called Inventory Logs. The second table is now renamed to Inventory Lots for clarity. CLD-13921
- Payment details: Viewing the Details section of credit card payments is important for retailers to understand how the payments were collected. Having this information on hand in the reports is also helpful in the event of a credit card dispute. With these needs in mind, the Details section of credit card payments is now redesigned for merchants using the payment processors below and will be available to all our merchants in the near future:
Bug Fixes
- Completing layaways: When a layaway is marked as Complete, cancelling the sale causes the layaway’s inventory to move back in stock instead of remaining reserved. This issue is now fixed. CLD-13013
- Item labels (Trinidad and Tobago): When an account is set to the Trinidad and Tobago locale, having the Tax Inclusive tax model selected will add tax to the price on item labels. CLD-13438
- Specialized vendor integration: When using the Online Ordering section of a purchase order to Specialized, the incorrect quantity on hand is displayed. This issue is now fixed. CLD-13614
Lightspeed Retail with eCom
Tired of April’s unreliable weather forecasts? This May, you can look to Lightspeed for consistency between your Retail account and eCom store and an omnichannel experience you can depend on. Here are the bug fixes that made these improvements possible:
Bug Fixes
- Archiving matrices: When a matrix is archived in Retail, the inventory is set to 0 but the variants are not set to hidden in eCom. This issue is now fixed. EMID-1177
- Default language edits (Europe): When editing a 1 attribute matrix in a European eCom store, its variant titles are editable in the default language. This issue is now fixed. EMID-1182
- Assigning categories using Bulk actions: When the Maintain parent/child relationship when assigning categories to a product toggle is enabled in eCom, using Bulk actions to assign a child category to a product does not automatically assign it to the parent categories. This issue is now fixed. CAM-4715
