As we pass the Labor Day mark, we tend to feel caught between the impending arrival of fall and the optimism of the remaining summer days. Purchase orders: To add to Retail’s arsenal of inventory management features, merchants creating a new purchase order can now see how much of an item is already ordered or backordered on existing purchase orders for their shop location. This Qty On Order column, along with reorder points and levels, will help each shop location:
- order exact quantities to replenish their stock levels.
- avoid vendor return shipping costs.

Price rules: Price rules are a great way for our merchants to automatically apply discounts to a sale and provide a fast and accurate check-out experience to their customers. By implementing an inventory search with all available filters to this feature, customizing price rules is now easier than ever before (click here for more information).
Zendesk Chat: If you have a question that our help articles can’t answer, chatting with our knowledgeable Support agents is a great way to get instant assistance. If you’ve used our Chat Support before, please be advised that we have replaced LiveChat with Zendesk Chat. Different chat software, same Support!
Bug Fixes
- Searching customer phone numbers: When searching for a customer by phone number, an error occasionally displays when entering 4 digits or more. This is now fixed.
- Receiving purchase order items: When receiving items on a purchase order, the quantity displayed in the Check-In banner message includes the quantity of stock that was previously received. This is now fixed.
- Require PIN before each sale: When the Require PIN before each sale setting in Settings > General Options is enabled, employees occasionally need to enter their PIN multiple times before being redirected to the register. This is now fixed.

Feature Enhancement
Brands: With omnichannel, your Retail manufacturers are pushed to your eCom brands. In order to better manage your Retail manufacturers, and your eCom brands as a result, merchants can now see how many items are associated to each manufacturer (click here for more information).
Upon adding new manufacturers in your Retail account, we’ve also implemented a new set of rules that are designed to:
- avoid duplicate names.
- prevent formatting errors.
- ensure consistency between your Retail manufacturers and eCom brands.
