Lightspeed Retail
With all your summer travel plans in the works, it inspires us to keep developing new features for our international merchants. Lots to look forward to in the near future! In the meantime, for Australia and our local Canadian merchants, we’ve enhanced our integrated payment processing with Vantiv. We’ve also fixed issues that transcend borders that all our merchants can benefit from.
Payment Processing Enhancements
- Refunding deposits: Having the flexibility to process all types of integrated payments is important for our retailers to quickly and confidently go about their daily operations, whether it be a sale or refunding a deposit. With that being said, merchants using Vantiv as their payment processor can now refund deposits back to their customers’ credit cards.
Bug Fixes
- Changing special order statuses: When you change a special order’s status to Not Ready, the reserved stock is not returned to its corresponding items. This issue is now fixed.CLD-14202
- Opening counts (iPad): When opening a register in Retail Manager mode, entering values with decimal numbers prompts an Input a valid value error message and prevents the opening count from being submitted. This issue is now fixed. CLD-13933
Lightspeed Retail with integrated eCom
As we all know, the best things come in pairs. Even better than shoes, we’ve developed a duo of buttons that can seamlessly relay you between your Retail account and eCom store, making viewing and updating your omnichannel items quick and accurate. To pair nicely with this new feature, the second feature of our release ensures that the categories you merge in your Retail account are reflected in your eCom store.
Here are our a two new features:
Viewing and managing eCom products from Retail: Part of the seamless omnichannel experience is being able to quickly and easily perform the following actions directly from your Retail account:
- managing your eCom products’ online details
- viewing your eCom products in your online store
These two actions are now more accessible than ever before because of two buttons in the Details section of your items:
- Manage Online Details
- View in Online Store

Merging categories: Once categories are pushed from your Retail account to your eCom store, they serve as your site’s navigation. This places a special importance on keeping category trees as accurate and organized as possible for our omnichannel merchants. With that being said, our new feature ensures that when you merge a category into another in your Retail account, the category tree changes are pushed to your eCom store so that you don’t need to double your efforts to maintain your site’s integrity (click here for more information).
