New Features/Enhancements

  • Quantity In no longer editable: To prevent unbalanced inventory lots where Quantity Out exceeds Quantity In, Lightspeed Retail no longer allows retroactive changes to an inventory item’s Quantity In value. Consequently, the Qty. In field in the Inventory Entry table cannot be changed (under Inventory > Items > inventory item > History). You can modify an item’s quantity under Inventory > Items.  CLD-10663
  • Lightspeed Retail with eCom now supported in Australia: Australian merchants can now launch and provision an eCom store from within their Lightspeed Retail account. CLD-11631
  • Improved workflow for creating Serialized items: To clarify the distinction between serialized and non-serialized inventory items, we’ve removed the Serialized and Serialized Assembly options from the Type drop-down list (under Inventory > New Item). Instead, we’ve added a Serialized checkbox that’s displayed when you create (or search) for inventory items. The Serialized option also allows you to associate serial numbers with Box of Items and Non-Inventory items. NOTE: Once enabled, the Serialized option can only be disabled for an item that does not have any serial numbers associated with it. CLD-11785
  • Merging items of different types no longer supported: To prevent potential data-integrity issues, Lightspeed Retail no longer allows merging inventory items of different types.CLD-11827
  • Advanced Item Types module enabled for all merchants: The Advanced Item Types optional module is now available to all merchants, by default, and no longer needs to be explicitly enabled when setting up your Lightspeed Retail account. The Advanced Item Types module allows you to create and manage boxes of items, serialized inventory, product matrices and assemblies. CLD-11768
