#LightspeedLocal is Back for the Holidays 

In the early days of the pandemic, we launched a program that reimbursed our employees up to $500 in their local currency for purchases made at #LightspeedLocal retailers to help support our merchants during a difficult time. 

Now, with the holidays fast approaching and 2020 coming to a close, we’re excited to roll out #LightspeedLocal again just in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

We saw an outpouring of support for our local merchants, with hundreds of posts and stories across social media platforms advocating for consumers to shop and dine locally.  

At Lightspeed, shouting out our customers heightened our sense of community during an uncertain time, as we actively became closer to the businesses we support every day. 

And as our #LightspeedLocal businesses let us know, the feeling was mutual.

To keep the momentum going this holiday season, every Lightspeed employee has been gifted $400 in local currency to use at #LightspeedLocal dollars towards supporting the local business community that brings our cities and communities to life. 

We’re even adding fun touches like Lightspeed Holiday Swag packages that employees can win for themselves and the local merchant they support when they post about their local purchase on social media. 

Celebrating the merchants that bring communities together is more important than ever this holiday season. Through all the challenges of this year, it’s been inspiring to see how resilient business owners are as they reimagine the future of retail and hospitality. We’re excited to continue to help them build the future of commerce.
